You Up? What To Tell Those Late Night Doubts
We’ve all been there more than once
Maybe you had a tough day or maybe you’ve had a tough few months. What brought you here is almost irrelevant (almost), what’s important is that you clicked through and you’re here.
You deserve a space where you aren’t beating yourself. However long it takes for you to read this, let this be the break you haven’t taken in the last day.
I know how tiring it can feel to keep trying so hard when things just don’t seem to be lining up. If I’m honest, I’m there right now. Things are manageable, but also hard and I keep hoping they even out more than they have. I keep wanting things to work out faster or with less of a jagged line to them.
Don’t we all?
I don’t know what burdens you’re carrying on your shoulders, but I can tell you need a rest. I can tell your shoulders are hurting and you want to just sit.
Being creative can feel impossible when you’re barely meeting your other more basic needs, like sleep.
Lately, my own mental health has been dancing with my self-doubt and making it harder to be creative and believe in myself. Writing has once again turned into a lifeline and an act of rebellion. If you’re up late and dancing with your own self doubts, I hope…
