Schedule your brainstorming and process time, they count

My boyfriend’s creative mediums are photography and video. Any time I look over my shoulder in our shared office, one of Adobe Creative Cloud’s programs is running on his desktop. In our years together I’ve learned a lot about processing times — how frustrating, but necessary they are in order to render the video in the very best way possible.

I respect how much his creative hustle has taught him about patience and process time being a necessary part of the larger process.

We can stand to learn a thing or two from him and how long it takes to export a video in 4k. Right now, we’re at an inflection point with being a creative, suddenly it isn’t something that others look down upon, it’s the “Creator Economy.” Capital letters and all. It’s profitable and it’s powering a sector of the economy that was previously laughed at.

A recent study found that 50 million people across the world consider themselves creators. Of those who consider themselves to be professionals, 500,000 earn an income from YouTube and 200,000 share the podcasting, blogs, writing, etc, bucket. Reports have the market size at over $100B.
