15 Ideas You Can Write About This Week
People want to read your perspective on your life (seriously)
I sat down with my cup of coffee this morning and asked myself, “what should I write today?” Then almost instantly sent myself into a spiral. I know I’m not alone in this cycle — I know I want to write, I sit down to write, I have no idea what to write, I get back up and give up on writing that day.
In hopes of creating more consistency and structure in my writing routine, I’m breaking the cycle. I didn’t know what to write about this morning, so instead of giving up, I’m going to create a list for both of us.
We tend to overcomplicate creativity (or writing for that matter) when the truth is that those who read our words simply want to learn about our perspectives on people, places, and things.
In some ways I think I have it especially easy because I write personal essays and short posts from my own perspective. It gives me permission to write about anything. Sometimes that can feel really overwhelming though when I don’t know where to start.
Here are a list of ideas you can write about this week (and that I’ll bookmark for myself too):
- A list of books you’ve read lately
- A book that changed your life
